Key Benefits of Polydextrose
1, It is essentially non-sweet, and compatible with sugars and high potency sweeteners allowing the sweetness of formulations to be easily balanced.
2, It helps mask the off-notes that can result from the addition of soy, vitamins, minerals and other supplements.
3, Better Solubility:
It is high water solubility approximately 80% at 25℃,higher than sucrose, sorbitol, xylitol, and even higher in high temperature.
4, Unusual Stability:
It with extremely stability ,can save more than 90 dates in uncovered conditions at 25℃, 45 ℃ and 60 ℃,and keeps stability even at 200 ℃.Hard to react with alkaline or acid.
5, Viscosity:
Under the same contidions, the viscosity of polydextrose is higher than that of sucrose.
Along with the increase of temperature, the viscosity of polydextrose reduce. That is simiar with sucrose.
6, Humectancy:
When the environmental humidity is in a higher lever, solid polydextrose can absorb water sufficiently, and affects water activity of solution as food humectant.
7, Low Caloric
One calorie/gram bulking agent enables lower calorie products to be developed.
8, Slow Fermentation:
It is fermented slower than other prebiotics, and slowly fermented prebiotics still have a positive effects in the distal part of the colon.
9, Prebiotic :
As a prebiotic, selectively stimulates growth of lactobacilli and Bifidobacteria and decreases toxic bacteria.

Frequently Asked Questions
1. What is the difference between polydextrose and glucose?
Glucose is a monosaccharide. Polydextrose is made through the condensation reaction of glucose, which produces a mixture of polymers with different structures and chain lengths. It is primarily used for functions such as filler, moisture management, and dietary fiber fortification, rather than as a traditional sugar component.
2. Is polydextrose a sweetener?
Compared to sucrose, polydextrose has a very low sweetness and is mainly used as a filler and texture improver. In reduced-sugar products, it is often used in conjunction with appropriate sweeteners to increase volume and improve sweetness, respectively.
3. Can polydextrose be used in sugar-free or sugar-free products?
Polydextrose is commercially used in reduced-sugar, sugar-free, and sugar-free formulations. However, compliance with these claims depends on the complete composition of the final product and the regulations of the target market. Adding polydextrose alone does not make a product sugar-free or sugar-free.
4. Does a 90% polydextrose content mean that the dietary fiber content stated on the label is 90%?
Not necessarily. JECFA polymer content determination is based on ash-free and anhydrous standards, and dietary fiber labeling must reflect the corresponding analytical results and comply with applicable labeling regulations. Before calculating the dietary fiber content claim of the finished product, please confirm the measurement standards and dietary fiber content of the supplied ingredients.
5. Can you provide COA (Certificate of Analysis) and non-GMO products?
Yes, we can.
