Sugar tax is already producing results in 2018.
It will
be a major change in health and tax policy. On 6 April the UK will join
the small number of countries which have introduced a tax on sugary
drinks as part of an anti-obesity policy.
Shoppers will pay 18p or 24p per litre extra depending on how much extra sugar has been added to the drink.
Many drink makers have already started altering their recipes, stopped making the original full-sugar version.
They cut the sugar content below the levy threshold.
It will become one new trend to use the healthy zero calories sweeteners in drink and food.
